Gervin GV9 Black & White Label
A quality "aromatic" yeast, intended to be for making wines with a young fruity
aroma. It starts readily, give little foam, and works well at temperatures down to 10 degrees C. Will metabolise up to 30% of malic acid. Good for dealing with fruits with high malic acid levels, such as gooseberries and rhubarb.
Gervin yeasts have been selected from the active dried yeasts currently available to commercial winemakers, and exhaustively tested to ensure that they will perform well under the conditions used by amateur winemakers. The wines that each yeast produces has been evaluated by members of the National Guild of Wine and Beer judges. The yeasts are sealed in triple foil sachets under nitrogen or carbon dioxide gas to ensure a long shelf life.
